The recitals
- Community Benefits Agreements have been negotiated in cities across Canada and beyond
- this includes Community Benefit Agreements that have been negotiated as part of large scale P3 infrastructure projects, such as the Eglinton Crosstown LRT in the City of Toronto
- Community Benefits Agreements have also been negotiated as part of major development applications in Ottawa, such as the Manor Park Estates and Herongate agreements
- the residents of local communities are broadly opposed to the current proposal, citing, among other things, a lack of community benefits and input
