Council was asked to

1. That staff be directed to report back to the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee in Q2 of 2027 with a report on the impact of the voluntary notification system for demonstrations, including a comparison with the previous permit system, and with statistics and analysis that includes the following: Proactive disclosures and coordination by organized protests with the City of Ottawa Any changes to the costs to city and relevant city partners (ex. police), if available, in managing protests Any noticeable trends in demonstration activity in Ottawa
