Acquisition Update – Capital Region Resource Recovery Centre - In Camera

Council was asked to

1. Delegate authority to the City Manager, in consultation with the General Manager of Public Works, the General Manager of Strategic Initiatives, the City Solicitor, and the City Treasurer to negotiate, enter into, finalize and execute an asset purchase agreement to acquire the Capital Region Resource Recovery Centre assets and any other agreements necessary to give effect thereto upon such terms and conditions satisfactory to the General Manager of Public Works, on the basis outlined in the report from the General Manager of Public Works; Approve the budget authority for the purchase price plus applicable taxes and closing costs as outlined in the report from the General Manager of Public Works; and, Direct the City Manager, in coordination with Public Works, Strategic Initiatives, Legal Services, and Finan-cial Services, to report back to Council in open session upon completion of the acquisition with full details, in-cluding the acquisition cost.
